Hi! Thank you for visiting my website! I’m so glad you’re here! My name is Shayne Brazier, and I’m a songwriter and composer. I was born and raised in the Central Valley of California, and am the youngest of seven girls. I have lived throughout California during my husband’s podiatry school, residency program, and work, and as of 2020, my family and I now reside in Utah. I started taking piano lessons at the age of six, and took lessons until the age of sixteen. I began writing songs at a very young age, and have continued to do so throughout my life.
The Promised Messiah
My first produced work is a Christmas oratorio that I wrote called, The Promised Messiah. It focuses on the significance of Jesus Christ’s birth, and why He came to earth—to atone for all mankind. This oratorio consists of music that I have written throughout my life, with a few of them even being written when I was a teenager. With the help of talented friends and musicians around me, I was able to perform a shorter version of The Promised Messiah at the Oakland Temple’s Days of Christmas multiple times while living in the Bay Area. There were only seven songs in The Promised Messiah at the time, but I have fond memories of sharing my testimony of my Savior, Jesus Christ, through sacred music with those around me. I have added additional songs to the program, and there are now thirteen songs in total. The Promised Messiah has been a special experience as I have worked closely with my husband, Seth, to choose which songs to write and include in the oratorio, as well as being able to write the narration with him to bring it all together. I am excited to share my music with the world—or more specifically, anyone who will listen.
Other Works
In addition to The Promised Messiah, I have written many other songs that I plan on releasing in the future. I also love to create my own arrangements of songs. I love writing music about my Savior, Jesus Christ, as He is my strength, and source of light in my life.
Family and Personal
I’m married to my best friend, Seth Brazier, who is my biggest fan, and greatest supporter! We have five awesome boys who keep us on our toes, and bring joy (and chaos) into our lives! Between Seth’s racing career as an Ironman/ runner/ ultramarathoner, and all of the various sports and activities our boys are involved in, there’s never a dull moment at the Brazier household (or a quiet one for that matter). I love spending time with my boys, including our much loved golden doodle, Kobe, who loves to lay by the piano and listen to my music whenever I play.
Some of my favorite things are: Jesus, spending time with my family and friends, being in nature, warm sunshine, going on adventures, celebrating holidays and those around me, cheering Seth and my boys on in any race/sport/activity they’re involved in, dancing to a good beat, good food, and chocolate.
